Captain John Hill

(1817-1879) Like many of the others resting here, Captain Hill was a man of the sea. His seaside graveyard epitaph:

'The form that fills this silent grave
Once tossed on ocean's rolling wave,
But in a port securely fast,
He's dropped his anchor here at last.'
