Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home & When to go:

  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Some owners offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Full Duplex, 1 min walk to beach, Peek a Boo Ocean Views has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
