Strategies for getting the best Beaufort, NC rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Beaufort rental home:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking the perfectrental:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. It's an easy 10 minute stroll to downtown has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs applied to your agreement.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
