Tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Beaufort rental home:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Reserve your Beaufort, NC rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to choose the perfect rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Yacht Club Dream (Luxury Sound Front Condo) has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation family.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

Have a great stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
