Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • Summer time is high season in Beaufort. To find the best value, try changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain coupons for local tours and attractions.

How to choose the best rental home in Beaufort:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Experience living on a Houseboat and a fisherman's delight! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC attraction you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.

During your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
