How to get the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Filter your search:

  • Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Sailfish-Atlantic Beach, Minutes Walk to the Ocean has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
