Tips and Tricks to get the best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book the perfect Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Start by having your family decide on date ranges and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Tar Landing Villas 608, Oceanfront Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
