Tricks and tips to get the best rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best rental home in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select your dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Darling Cottage Nestled In Our Garden! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, email the host before you book the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

During your stay:

  • Add the host's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
