Booking the best vacation property experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer is high season in Atlantic Beach. To get the best rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • First, have your group agree to a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Worth the Wait, Soundside house in Atlantic Beach, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
