Tips to get the very best Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. To get the best vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Selecting the perfect rental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with 3 porches & steps from the beach in Atlantic Beach has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is optimal for your family.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
