Booking the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Reserve your Beaufort, NC rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the right Beaufort, NC rental:

  • First and foremost, have your family commit to date ranges and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Secluded waterfront home that is 5 min away from downtown Beaufort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
