Tricks and tips for getting the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Atlantic Beach rental home:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Filter your search:

  • Select your dates and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. A Cottage on the Canal- a charming house in Atlantic Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

During your stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
