How to book the best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. To find the best rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Beaufort, NC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the perfect vacation rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • First, have your group decide on vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. South ACK-Lil bit of Nantucket in Beaufort NC! Book now! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC beach you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking

More tips for your visit:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
