Finding the best Beaufort vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • To get the best value, shift your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Speight House, Soundfront House in Historical Beaufort, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
