  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
