Booking the best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summer is high season in Atlantic Beach. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the best Beaufort, NC vacation home:

  • First, have your group decide on trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Direct oceanfront\/ A Place at the Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
