Our top Beaufort, NC vacation rental booking tips:

When to visit & When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • To find the best value, shift your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to pick the perfect vacation home in Atlantic Beach:

  • Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Executive Home with Neighborhood Beach Access has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If not, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.

Additional considerations:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. text the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
