Exactly How Much Vacation rental Do You Actually Need?

Determine who is attending the vacation, and how many/what kind of bedroom configuration you should have. Bear in mind that many properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in the living area. You will need to determine what is most appropriate for the company. Let's Discuss Amenities

What amenities is the group trying to find? Do you want a rental with patio kitchen? Will the unit need to be beach front, the downtown area, or close to night life? Are bedsheets offered with the rental agreement, or will you need to provide your own? Create a list of priority amenities to guide narrow your search.

Special Criteria

Elderly guests will appreciate you for not reserving a stairs-only condominium on the Third floor. If wheel chair access, elevators, pool lifts or other specialized equipment is required, factor that into your search. The majority of vacation home postings include a list of amenities.

Take the Dog

Don't forget to include your companion! Animal guidelines are different at each rental. Read descriptions carefully. Type of pet, size and dog breeds can be restricted. Read your contract carefully! During your Stay

If there is a disagreement about liability later, having the documented problems and contact attempts will be incredibly helpful.
  • Should there be any ambiguity about vehicle parking, policies of the house, house access, pool operation, etc... we recommend you ask the property manager immediately. A quick phone call helps prevent many problems.
  • Don't forget to be a good neighbor. . Remember the golden rule and treat others the same way you'd like to be treated by vacationers next to your primary residence.
  • Ask a local. Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best pizza, have a great night out, or the best places for wildlife?
  • Be sure to protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental home locked up when you are away, just like you would in your own home.

Leaving Paradise

  • Ensure you've packed everything. Inspect drawers, bath cabinetry and wardrobes.
  • Be sure to walk through the rental one last time and check for damages. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible (this isn't always the case).. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
