Tricks and tips to get the optimal Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, NC area. To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Summer Winds B-233, Oceanfront Condo in Indian Beach, NC! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what is right for your group.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC attraction you are enamored with, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or could be applied to your contract.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
