How to get the best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Indian Beach. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.

How to choose the best vacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. This bright and colorful \"beachy\" condo is perfect for those seeking the sun! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC beach you are enamored with, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
