Aqua offers a refined and eclectic dining experience, thanks to a varied menu that features an ever-changing selection of tapas, small plates, and big plates.
The vast menu is overseen by head chef Jayson Foster, who had years of experience in local Carteret County restaurants before bringing his traditional French style with a twist to Aqua. The end result is a fine menu that utilizes the Southern Outer Banks’ bounty of fresh seafood, but also takes chances on more unique dishes that can’t be found anywhere else. Sample items on the extensive menu include a crab and pineapple napoleon, a fresh tomato tart, and a cast iron seared crab cake with sweet corn and asparagus hash, crispy tortilla, and fried cilantro.
Aqua also features an acclaimed bar which hosts regular wine tastings, an extensive wine and cocktail menu, and daily specials on both in-house beverages and bottled wine to go. With a chic but friendly atmosphere, a range of cool cocktails, and colorful dishes that are designed to appeal to multiple senses, Aqua has become a popular destination for local and visitor date nights, as well as fun evenings out after a full day of exploring the Downtown Beaufort region.
