Situated in the heart of Front Street and next to the famed General Store, Marmalade Cafe & Bakery is the perfect spot for any Beaufort visitor to start their day, thanks to an inherently charming and historic atmosphere, and a tempting menu that is loaded with both freshly baked goodies and hearty main dishes.
Marmalade Cafe & Bakery first opened in December 2021 and is located on the first floor of the historic Thomas Duncan House, which was built in 1856. Patrons can take in this inviting setting in the indoor sitting area, or outdoors and on the go, thanks to the café’s prime locale that’s just steps away from the waterfront. The breakfast menu features an array of both sweet and savory items, such as breakfast sandwiches, the quiche of the day, or the signature Crème Brulé Waffle with pastry cream, whipped cream, and fresh berries, or patrons can pick up some baked goodies to enjoy at home. With lots of tempting items and daily specials that will keep patrons coming back for more, Marmalade Cafe & Bakery is a sweet little destination where great flavors and the local historic atmosphere are effortlessly combined.
