Visitors can sit at one of the simple wooden booths, or grab a sandwich to go as needed, and that’s when the good eats begin. The Spot is known for working with local watermen on a regular basis, with seafood specialties like shrimp burgers and fish only available when in season and locally available. The burgers are juicy and delicious, while the hot dogs, which can be piled high with chili, bacon, and onions, will satisfy any appetite. Diners will want to especially look for in-season specials, like softshell crab sandwiches, which make occasional appearances on the menu and are local favorites.
