Tricks and tips for getting the perfect rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in Atlantic Beach. To book the best rental within your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the best vacation rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Newly Renovated-Amazing 360 views of the Atlantic Ocean and Sound -with Pool. has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC attraction you are crazy about, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Know before you go:

  • Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
