Our top Rental home booking tips and tricks:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick your Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Choose dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Charming 2-bedroom Oceanside apartment in the heart of Emerald Isle has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your group.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
