How to get the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking yourrental:

  • Start by choosing trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Coral Shores #22, Oceanfront Condo in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC beach you long to visit, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
