Tips to get the very best Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. To get the most suitable vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Start by having your family select the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Cozy beach condo in Emerald Isle, NC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your group.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
