Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Summertime is high season in Beaufort. Book your Beaufort, NC rental in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking yourvacation home:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Wow! What a view from the porch. has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

Have a great stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many issues.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
