Strategies to get the optimal Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your vacation in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking a perfect Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Beaufort Kite House - Front Street 7 Bedroom Home has 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is best for your vacation group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
