Beaufort, NC rental property booking tips and tricks:

How to get the best value:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick the bestrental home:

  • Choose your dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Family and Pet Oriented Home That Will Assure You of Wonderful Memories has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC destination you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

Tips for a smooth stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
