About this Property

****COVID 19 PRECAUTIONS***** First off I would like to thank all the great guest we've had over the last three years since purchasing this unit. Our new cleaning protocol is right after our guest checks out, our cleaning company fogs the entire interior of the home with a product called (VITAL OXIDE). A safe and very effective disinfectant. Fogging the home insures every surface is treated. The home is then professionally cleaned and all high touch areas, including the floors are treated with another disinfectant called (HUSKY 824). We also replaced all the bed pads, bed pillows, king and queen quilts, decorative pillows and the lower outdoor furnishings and cushions. This may be overkill and there are no guarantees but we are trying to make our home as safe as possible.
Lastly and most important, if you rent with us and your arrival date is nearing and you start feeling sick or may have been exposed to the virus. PLEASE call us! We will offer you a refund or reschedule your stay for a future date. This would be the most superb thing for your own health and safety and for any guest coming in after you. I hope this eases some of the anxiety of trying to have a great holiday. If you have other questions or concerns please contact us. Stay Safe.

HELLO SUMMER! The island is back and open for work. 2020 is shaping up to be a great summer with all the remnants of Florence gone. With that being said, we invite you to view our home and hopefully make it your summer stay. Our home is in unreal location, set back from the street and surrounded by mature trees giving a private feel, but only a brief walk to the beach. The land mass here is not very wide, only 5 rows of homes from the beach to the main road and 1 row to the sound. That means there is no rush to get to the beach, sleep in; plenty time to find a great spot. The beach is sizable and most days the water has a glistening emerald glow. Also a new beach access was constructed in 2017 and located close to the home. This access held through the storm and looks as good as new.
Our home includes a voluminous and open reverse floor plan with ceilings vaulted eleven feet. The kitchen is roomy and thoroughly outfitted with everything needed to whip up a great meal, while watching the waves .
The main feature of the dining area is a handmade reclaimed wood table, that seats eight agreeably, just a great spot for the family to gather and be together. After dinner hit the couches and watch the 55 inch TV. All the TV’s have HD cable and Wi-Fi is everywhere the home. Better yet, grab a drink and step out onto the outdoor space and just relax, watch the waves and listen to that sea. Also on this level are a half bath and a sizable pantry.
The 3 bedrooms are located on the first floor. We have a master with a king size bed, memory foam bed, attached bath, huge closet and a wall mounted 40 inch flat screen TV . This room has access to the first floor outdoor space. Second bedroom includes a queen size bed ,memory foam bed, sizable closet and a wall mounted 32 inch flat screen TV. This room also has access to the first floor outdoor space. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds, a modest closet and a wall mounted 32 inch flat screen TV. All the bedrooms feature ceiling fans. The main bathroom is also on this level and has a tub/shower combo.
The main entry is on the ground level. As you enter the home you come into a laundry area/catch all, great place to drop all the beach gear. One flight up and you're on the bedroom level. Outside we have a enormous private outdoor shower with hot and cold water and a dazzling seating area under the home. Also, we have a generous picnic table and a gas grille, great for a speedy outdoor lunch. Anyone making a trip to the beach knows how valuable that packing space in the car is, so we have beach chairs and umbrellas for you to use. We have plenty of parking and all the exterior lighting is dusk to dawn, making it safer coming and going at nighttime. We are located roughly 3 miles from the center of town, close enough to bicycle and discover. We are renting Sunday to Sunday. This year we added towels and linens into the renting fee, if you don't need them, let us know and they will be removed before you rent. We try very hard to keep our place refreshed, tidy and appealing for our guest. Please read our reviews and feel complimentary to contact Stephanie with any questions. Thanks for looking and we hope to hear from you. John & Steph

Money Saving Rental Tips

  • Search for the official tourism bureau where you want to travel. Many tourism bureaus will send printed tourism guides with special deals for rental home management companies, dining and activities. Keep an eye out for these guides and coupon books, since this allows visitors to take advantage of those wonderful attractions at a generally substantial discounted.
  • Are your trip dates changeable? Off-peak times offer up substantial markdowns.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the U.S. Military may be qualified for cost savings. Make sure to ask property owner to see if your visiting crew is eligible for a price reduction.
  • Some homes are primarily suited for particular types of guests. Event homes are great for weddings, wedding receptions and corporate retreats. Some rentals cater to wildlife enthusiasts. Other homes are situated close to night life. You'll receive the best value from a rental which most closely satisfies your ideal holiday setting, regardless if it costs a bit more.
  • Management companies and individual home owners often offer their clients the chance to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally add somewhere between 1% - 5% of the basic vacation rental rate, offers visitors reimbursement of their rental expenses for any nights missed as a result of medical related emergencies or storms, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or expenses, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel. Trip insurance can be a bank account-saver if the unforseen occurs (heaven forbid!).

How to Book a Vacation Home

Newcomers are often times surprised at the range and variety of short term rental properties available in the Beaufort, NC area. Rental accommodations have gained in popularity with the rise of global search sites like Homeaway and VRBO.

Rentals are usually owner operated or managed by rental management companies. Property management companies are popular with property owners mainly because they coordinate the promotion and operations..

We have put together a short guide to help you get the most from your vacation rental experience.

Searching for and reserving the perfect rental:

Before you book "Take a break and relax to spectacular sunset. Book a Fall get away now.", examine our brief checklist of points to consider.

The Earlier, The Better

Beaufort, NC vacation rentals book several months (and up to a year) in advance. To get the best selection, start your planning and search Six-Twelve months before a trip. Holiday reunions are a popular time for groups to plot their Summer family trips..

Find your Area and Decide Dates

Start by determining which specific area of Beaufort, NC you want to browse, and the approximate dates you'll be vacationing.

Select a Size

Establish who is going, and just how many/what particular bedroom configuration you need to have. Bear in mind that many properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in the living room space. You will need to determine what is suitable for your party. Generally vacation home listings will describe each one of the unit's specific bedrooms and mattresses.

Decide on Your Budget

Check to make sure "Take a break and relax to spectacular sunset. Book a Fall get away now." satisfies your budget *during your desired week*. Make sure that you get cost-sharing commitments from company prior to booking a pricey rental home. One individual in your party will need to be in charge of getting repayments and accepting responsibility for the complete rental price at time of booking.

Property Amenities

What amenities is the group looking for? Are you looking for a rental property with outside kitchen? Do you wish to be away from it all, or close to civilization? Are bedsheets offered with the rental contract, or do you need to provide your own? Gather a list of prioritized "necessities and wants" from your company to help narrow your search to the most suitable home.

Elderly guests will thank you for not renting a stairs-access-only condominium on the Third floor. If wheel chair access, elevators, pool lifts or other specialized devices are needed, include that into your search. Nearly all rental home postings include a list of amenities.

Fido Approved

Be sure to include your best friend! Even though many vacation homes permit animals, rules and fees fluctuate per rental. You'll want to study agreements and contracts carefully. Charges may apply when pets are added.

Searching the Internet

When the place, time and people are decided, search multiple sources for the greatest rental home selection. Besides Homeaway, VRBO and Tripadvisor, we advise searching Google for "Beaufort, NC local rental homes" for local rental management companies. Local vacation home management companies pride themselves on a first-class rental experience.

Re-read the description to ensure the rental home has everything required. If something is missing, the property management company may know of comparable homes that suit your desires and budget..

Although not true for all rental properties, many property owners and property managers will negotiate rates. If the rate isn't negotiable, the number of nights may be. Off-peak weeks will likely be negotiable more often than peak-season..

Read the Contract

Learn which of the following is included in your quoted rate:

  • Utility bills
  • Internet Connectivity
  • Phone service
  • Pool and hot tub heating
  • Pay Per View Movies
  • Cleaning Service
  • Trash collection
  • Maintenance (get a phone number)
  • Check in & Check Out Key Exchange
  • Parking Space

Get a total that includes state taxes, pet and other extra fees.

What's the Cancellation Policy?

Ensure you be aware of the cancellation policy before reserving. Many vacation property agreements include an option for trip insurance. Trip insurance defends the renter against emergencies and weather events, It gives comfort should catastrophe strike.

Reserve It

When everything looks correct, it's finally time to sign on the dotted line. You will probably have to submit a security deposit at time of booking.

Know Who to Call

Make sure you get the manager's contact phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend keeping the contact's information in your smartphone and wallet.

Good luck on reserving your rental home! You're on your way to a wonderful vacation!

During your Stay

  • Take notes of any problems right after you arrive. If you discover wear and tear, or if fixes are needed contact the home manager without delay. If there is a dispute about legal liability later, having the documented problems and contact attempts could be incredibly helpful.
  • Ask questions. You might need instructions for a gas fireplace, Television set or spa tub. Call your home manager. They are there to help. A brief phone call prevents many problems.
  • Remember to be a good neighbor. Locals should be as friendly to you as you are considerate of them. Respecting late-night quiet hours and vehicle parking restrictions can make a trip a little more enjoyable.
  • Ask a local. Local residences may point you in the right direction.
  • Enjoy your stay! Don't forget to protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental home locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.

Checking Out

  • Double-check each space of the rental property to assure you've packed all possessions.
  • When everything is out, begin a walk-through of the property to make sure that no damage occurred during your remain. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever feasible (this isn't always the case).. If the property manager is not available, make sure to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you love your vacation rental? Nearly all rental web sites ask for testimonials after your stay is complete. Owners and rental managers will thank you for glowing recommendations. If something went wrong, we suggest being kind but completely honest about your stay. The best property owners and managers will work hard to rectify the situation.

Learn from your Experience

Hold a meeting with your traveling companions. Did everybody have a good time? Maybe everything ended up being exceptional and you are excited to reserve the property for your next vacation. If the rental home was not perfect, and you'll better know how to refine your search for the next time.
