Beaufort, NC vacation rental tips and tricks:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserve your rental in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing and booking a perfect Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. OCEANFRONT Cottage with Covered Deck, Pet Friendly has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC beach you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
