Below are great tips and suggestions to help you understand the rental search and reservation process.

Finding and booking the right rental property:

Before you decide to book "Multi-Level Oceanfront Condo gives everyone a chance to spread out!", review our brief list of considerations.

Begin Your Search Early

Like many trendy destinations, In Beaufort, NC the best rentals are booked very early. To assure the most desirable choice of rental homes, we advise searching and booking your Beaufort, NC rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates, whenever possible. Holiday gatherings are a great time for groups to plot their Summer family vacations..

Find your Spot and Establish Dates

Quite often, the toughest portion of organizing your vacation is deciding where to search, and when. When the big decisions are resolved, everything else will be simplier and easier.

Selecting an Appropriately-Sized Vacation rental

Confirm who is attending the vacation, and how many/what sort of bedroom configuration you'll need. Bear in mind that a lot of properties advertise maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in the family room. You'll need to figure out what is suitable for your party. Precise descriptions of bedrooms and beds are usually available on the internet. Otherwise, communicate with the property manager before you reserve the home.

Have a Spending Limit

Will your preferred rental home fit your budget during that prime Summer week? If several individuals or families are sharing the cost, always make sure that each group understands their responsibility and has agreed to a maximum they are willing to chip in. Most of the time, just one member of the group will be in charge of making the full reservation and recovering each party's contribution.

Its All About Amenities

What amenities is the family looking for? Is a pool mandatory? Are you looking for a rental home with open-air lounge? Do you wish to be far from the crowds, or close to a city setting? Are extras like beach chairs, barbecue grills, umbrellas, buggies or coolers available and included with your rental home charge? Create a list of priority features to facilitate narrow your search.

Special Considerations

Do a few members of your group have specialized needs? If wheel chair accessibility, elevators, pool lifts or other specialized equipment is needed, include that into your search. Most vacation home listings will include a list of amenities.

Paws-Friendly, Please

Make sure you include your furry family members. While a number of vacation rentals allow furry friends, guidelines and costs vary per rental. Read your agreement very carefully! Extra fees or costs may be applied to your contract. When in doubt, ask the property manager and get it in writing.

Searching the Internet

. In combination with Homeaway, VRBO and Tripadvisor, we advise searching Google for "Beaufort, NC local rentals" for local vacation rental management companies. Local companies will often have a unique collection of vacation homes daily and weekly.

Negotiate

Re-read the description to make certain that the rental home has everything required. If lacking, the property management company may know of comparable homes that better fit your wishes and budget..

Some property owners will negotiate prices, and some won't. If the price isn't negotiable, the number of nights might be. Off-peak season offers your best opportunity to negotiate a lower rate.

Read the Contract

Read the entire contract and be sure you are aware who is responsible for:

  • Power bills
  • Internet
  • Phone service
  • Pool and hot tub heating
  • Pay Per View Movies
  • Cleaning Fees
  • Trash collection
  • Maintenance policies
  • Check in & Check Out Key Exchange
  • Parking Space

Get a total that incorporates state taxes, pet and other additional fees.

Cancelling your Rental

Make sure you are familiar with the cancellation policy prior to reserving. Many rental property agreements include an option for trip insurance. Trip insurance guards the renter against emergencies and weather events, It gives you peace of mind should disaster strike.

Complete the Reservation

When you feel you've found "the one", begin the booking process. You will likely be asked to submit a security deposit at time of booking.

Where to Get Assistance

Put the property manager's contact information into your smartphone and wallet for convenient access to answers during your visit.

Congrats! All that is left is making the most of your vacation!

During your Stay

  • Photograph on your arrival. Take notes of any damage right after you arrive. If you discover wear and tear, or if repairs are needed contact the home manager without delay.
  • Ask questions. If you have any ambiguity about vehicle parking, policies of the property, condo access, swimming pool functions, etc... we recommend you ask the rental manager promptly. A phone call can save hours of problems.
  • Please remember to respect your neighbors. . Remember the golden rule and treat others the same way you'd like to be treated by vacationers next to your primary residence.
  • Ask a local. Natives may point you in the right direction.
  • Enjoy your stay! Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the vacation rental secured when you are away, exactly like you would in your own home.
