Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Book your rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Finding the best vacation rental in Beaufort:

  • Choose your dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. PET FRIENDLY, Golf Cart Ride to DOWNTOWN BEAUFORT, with RESORT Style AMENITIES! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is best for your vacation group.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
