How to book the best vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Choosing and booking your prefect Beaufort, NC rental home:

  • Select your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Pine Knoll Townes 65, Almost Oceanfront Townhouse in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. If not, reach out to the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your family.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
