Rental home booking tips and tricks:

Find your best deal:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the best rental home:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Sweet Caroline coastal home Beaufort, NC 28516 in Beau Coast Comm master on main has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
