How to find the best Beaufort, NC rental home experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Summer time is high season in Atlantic Beach. To book the best rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, NC attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book a perfect Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Third-Floor Condo Overlooking the Courtyard w\/Ocean Views, Shared Outdoor Pool has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC destination you crave, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
