Beaufort, NC rental home booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in Atlantic Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and picking the perfectrental home:

  • Start by selecting a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beach Cottages #2-Pet Friendly Condo in Atlantic Beach has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC attraction you love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

During your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
