Strategies to get the perfect vacation home experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, NC area. To find the most suitable vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Beaufort, NC restaurants and activities.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Updated Home with Ocean View - with Private Pool and Hot Tub has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC destination you simply love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
