Tricks and tips to get the best rental home experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Summer months are high season in Emerald Isle. Reserve your Beaufort, NC rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Choose your vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Beached, Almost Oceanfront House in Emerald Isle, NC! has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
