Finding the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. To find the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking the bestrental home:

  • First, have your group select date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Upstairs portion of beautiful 2nd-row duplex with ocean view, central AC, & WiFi has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
