Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfectrental:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Pirate Haven, Soundside House in Beaufort, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
