How to book the best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • Summer time is high season in Emerald Isle. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and choosing the right Beaufort, NC rental:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 103 Ebb Tide Plus, Almost Oceanfront House in Emerald Isle, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your group.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, NC attraction you crave, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
