Our top Rental property booking tips and tricks:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • To book the best rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Selecting the perfect vacation rental in Emerald Isle:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. UPDATED Sea-renity EAST near boat ramp has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your contract.

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
