Tricks and tips for getting the best Beaufort rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Beaufort. Book your vacation home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Beau Point: Dog-Friendly Waterfront w\/dock \"Where live oaks meet the sea…” has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
