Beaufort rental booking tips and tricks:

Get the most from your budget:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Book your rental property in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the best rental home in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • First, have your family commit to date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beautiful view of Beaufort, Carrot/Shackleford Isle, Cape Lookout and Ft. Macon has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC destination you love, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
