Beaufort, NC vacation rental home tips:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Boaters Delight! Enjoy your vacation while you dock your boat in this new rental has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.

Considerations for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
