Vacation rental booking tips:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summertime is high season in Beaufort. Booking your Beaufort, NC vacation home in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to select the perfect vacation home:

  • Choose dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Coastal hideaway in downtown Beaufort. Walk to shops and restaurants! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC attraction you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
