Getting the best Beaufort, NC vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Beaufort, NC rental & When to go:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. Book your Beaufort, NC rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Selecting and booking the rightrental:

  • First, have your group select date ranges and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Completely Renovated, Oceanfront Condo with WiFi, HDTVs & Shared Pools/Hot Tub has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
