Strategies to get the perfect Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Double Queen-Unit 106 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, NC beach you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Have a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • At Check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
